2010 is getting off to a chilly start on this the second day of the new decade and especially in Minnesota. Our thermometer read -24ºF this morning it is -36º along the Canadian border at this hour. The ironic thing is this year Minnesota's "Next Generation Energy Act" will greatly increase the price of electricity and natural gas to fight "Global Warming".
A New Years Resolution
In 2010 now that "Global Warming" has been proven to be a fraud maybe we can overturn these idiotic laws.
Its so cold the weather Channel ran out of colors. Notice how they use the same pale pink from -16 to -36.
Maybe they should use the color green to denote really cold since all this backwards.
72 degrees difference between Seattle and northern Minnesota. YIKES! Land mass sure accounts for cold weather! I can't imagine how cold you all have it. Bring on the heat man!
Hah, once idiotic laws are passed they almost never go away!
People also are easily fooled, and when their assumptions about things are overturned, frequently the promotion is not there to change the mindset, so the law will stay.
Good example. Remember when we all threw rice at weddings? Then someone spread the rumor that rice killed birds - even though rice farmers have problems with birds stealing crops - Now we all use birdseed at weddings, even though it has been proven to be a false story. There isn't anyone out there beating the drums to bring back rice.
Something else to note. It has obviously been a very cold year. But somehow - yet again NOAA will find a way to put this year in the top 10 warm years, and announce some high temperature record for Earth day, as they do almost every year.
The way they goose the thermometer, and satellite data these days, I have no idea how we could compare and see if our current temps are on the same levels as the 70's
Wait a minute! Aren't they now worried about Climate Change? Global warming is so yesterday, right?

Here is an "oldtimers" story. I remember a morning somewhere in the late 40's or early 50's when the temp was around -40 degrees 100 miles north of Mpls. Not much was moving vehicle-wise but as I recall, we did go to shool. And since we lived in town, we walked.

Hello. This is kind of an "unconventional" question , but have other visitors asked you how get the menu bar to look like you've got it? I also have a blog and am really looking to alter around the theme, however am scared to death to mess with it for fear of the search engines punishing me.
