How about a Palin/Ventura ticket in 2012?
I'd rather have her finger on the button than his. And I'm not sure how a unicameral congress would work out in reality.
Although I would look forward to the inauguration ccelebration! I bet even Sarah likes Warren Zevon and feather boas.
Palin is phony she only got on board once it became popular to speak out against global warming science. She is everywhere in the media now, wrote a book to repair her image, all set to go to become the next president. Groomed by the media just like Obama was. And all the devastating things George W. Bush did to us will then be forgotten, and to forget history leads to its repetition.
P.S.: Ever heard of someone named Ron Paul?

Unfortunately, in today's republic, most political movements need a charasmatic leader or figure-head to be the torch-bearer if it is going to be effective. Not sure that Palin is the right person. But Ron Paul is probably not the man, either. Old stodgy and ugly, with some anti-semitic baggage of his own. Not very charming, won't work. (Not that I do not agree with him on many things)
We need a Reagan-like character to lead the revolution. Not sure there is one out there yet. Palin is trying to develop into that. I'm sure she has a few handlers she's listening too, but the (quite unfortunate) reality in our country today is that some BS make-up and polishing is required. Maybe that will change if Obama continues leading us into stupidity.
Palin was on the Vice-presidential ticket with McCain, her book hit number #2 on Amazon's bestseller list.... And this is supposed to have happened without any help by the elites of the world? No way.
Ron Paul is the closest thing to Ronald Reagan we have any chance of getting. The fact that he has been smeared with antisemitic and other allegations just reflects how the media is trying to destroy him, all the while building up Palin.
The truth is, both parties are corrupt, so more government can't save us, we need LESS government overall, no more wars costing $12 billion a month, no more socialism taxes. Ron Paul is the only lone voice speaking out for that.
Meanwhile Palin wants more troops (and tax money) to be sent to Afghanistan, praising Obama's decisions there. Anyone want more taxes to pay for all that? Like all politicians she will promise "no new taxes" to get elected, and break the promise in a New York minute.
Idealism aside, any third party run, regardless the individual, would only split the conservative half of the populace. That's the reason (debatable point, to be sure) we were consigned to endure an eight year Clinton gig. For now, anyway, the conservative half of the populace would fit more adequately into the ideals and philosophies of the Republican party. Or, to put it in the inverse, there's no way any sort of conservative ideals or principles could ever be forwarded from under the Democratic tent.
Like it or not, until any third party poses a threat other than sucking away conservative votes, we're faced with the challenge of working within the obvious of the alternatives.
Where as the one party might have individuals tainted by socialism or leaning toward socialist temptations, the other party has sold itself into socialism full-scale.
I appreciate the ardent spirit of the Paulites. But until it proves itself to be a truly viable, electable alternative, I'd suggest Palanism. If that's what it takes.
Might as well settle on this. We only have so long. If our current president doesn't go over the head of congress and give away zillions to stop it by shifting wealth from the west to the World Bank, global warming will doom us all. Al Gore said so.
