Back in 1938 when Orson Welles did his now infamous "War Of The Worlds", he started his program with a disclaimer saying that it is all fiction. That's what this blog entry is.
You see, I think that there is a consensus building on the whole "Global Warming" thing but it's against the theory. With 31,000 scientist now disbelieving the theory it is quickly becoming a joke. And the Greeny Weenies can't use "Global Cooling" because that was already tried in the 70's. So they are going to need some new lame "junk science" excuse NOT to drill in ANWR and I'm going to give it to them.
I'm Calling It Tectonic Implosion
The idea is, that if we keep sucking billions of barrels of oil out of the ground it will cause more earthquakes, because nature hates a void. I made up a fake organization called the "International Panel on Tectonic Implosion" or (IPTI).
I made a fake logo and a fake chart and made a page that talks about a fake study.
Why Am I Doing This?
I'm doing this as an experiment to see if it takes off. This is pretty much how the IPCC got started. Margaret Thatcher was dealing with coal miners striking in the late 70's and heard a scientist throw out the idea that maybe CO2 might cause Global Warming, so she started the IPCC to promote the building of Nuclear Power plants. It's always been about using junk science to drive politics ( I wonder if that's what Political Science is?)
So I'm just doing the same thing, "Tectonic Implosion" sounds plausible, there has been an increase in earthquakes since the 70's, and we are drilling for more and more oil every year. So "Voila" a new environmental crisis is born. I will always link back to this post at the end of my articles, so if people want to dig and see that it is fake they can.
So remember this day August 6, 2008 and remember this blog entry, so blog away and spread the rumor, feel free to add to it if you like. I just hope that people don't start jumping out of windows like they did in '38.

OMG! People using groundwater (wells) are part of the problem! They should at least use old high volume toilets to put more water back into the ground, via the septic system. I can't sleep for worrying about this.
