Full page adverts in weekend newspapers ask kids to rat on their friends and family in order to prevent "climate crimes"

A leading British energy company blitzed the newspapers with full page colour advertisements this weekend which encourage children to sign up as "climate cops" and keep "climate crime case files" on their families, friends and neighbours.

The ads, run by Npower, promote a website at www.climatecops.com where "trainees" must complete three missions before they can join the "elite cadets" and "train to become a climate cop".

These missions basically consist of a barrage of eco propaganda which the child must simply engage in in order to be accepted as a special agent of the green brigade.

The site offers a selection of downloads, including a pack of "climate crime cards", which instruct recruits to spy on families, friends and relatives, encouraging each of them to build up a written "climate crime case file".

While we are experiencing "Global Warming" or "Summer" as some like to call it, Other ports of the world aren't so lucky.

It has snowed in Queensland, and it will pay to rug up because even colder weather is expected tomorrow.

Snow, sleet, wind and rain ripped through the state's Granite Belt and southern Darling Downs, bringing freezing conditions yesterday.

The big chill was felt across virtually all over the eastern seaboard and the ski fields at Perisher in the New South Wales Snowy Mountains enjoyed a 15cm dump of snow.

Senator lets cat out of the bag on Bloomberg TV show

WASHINGTON – A Democratic senator on the Energy and Natural Resources Committee inadvertently explained why her colleagues have no intention of ending the moratorium on offshore oil drilling or increasing the areas open for exploration and production – no matter how popular the idea might be with gas prices soaring.

In an interview with Bloomberg TV's "Money and Politics" last night, Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., explained Democrats don't want to increase supplies of oil and gasoline because they want to wean Americans off of petroleum products.

Just back from a congressional tour of energy sites in Colorado and Alaska, U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann said Tuesday that the United States must tap its energy reserves and that only Congress is standing in the way of making a dent in rising fuel costs.

On a conference call with reporters, Bachmann said Congress should open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling, and allow for the expansion of oil exploration in other areas including Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota and off the Atlantic, Pacific and Gulf of Mexico coasts.

A new study from the University of Minnesota says if we are going to meet our CO2 reduction goals we need to do something different.

I hope they didn't spend a lot of our tax dollars for this study, because I could have come up with that. Lets see, in order to emit less CO2 we need to emit less CO2. You know the drill, drive less, and if you are going to drive it better be a Geo Metro and no faster than 55. And speaking of 55 might as well turn your thermostat down to that this winter. Don't have any kids and try not to breath so much.

And as good little Minnesotans we just sit back and take it. Instead maybe we should fund a study to see if CO2 is actually causing Global Warming. Recently there are a lot of scientists jumping off the Global Warming band wagon.

David Evans The Rocket Scientist who wrote the carbon accounting model (FullCAM) that measures Australia's compliance with the Kyoto Protocol.

American Physics Jeffrey Marque thinks:
the global warming debate must be re-opened.

India Isn't buying it.

The campaign to force people to accept that “the debate is over” and that man-made CO2 emissions are driving climate change is in deep trouble, with another top global warming advocate - rocket scientist and carbon accounting expert Dr. Richard Evans - completely reversing his position.

Evans was a consultant to the Australian Greenhouse Office from 1999 to 2005 and he wrote the carbon accounting model (FullCAM) that measures Australia’s compliance with the Kyoto Protocol.

gore-earth.jpg
Al Gore made his movie in 2005 and presented ice cores as the sole reason for believing that carbon emissions cause global warming. In any other political context our cynical and experienced press corps would surely have called this dishonest and widely questioned the politician’s assertion.

I DEVOTED six years to carbon accounting, building models for the Australian Greenhouse Office. I am the rocket scientist who wrote the carbon accounting model (FullCAM) that measures Australia's compliance with the Kyoto Protocol, in the land use change and forestry sector.

The world is cooling, sea levels are falling, ice is spreading, there are fewer extreme weather events, and it was hotter 1000 years ago, yet the myth of global warming is providing governments the excuse to micromanage every aspect of our lives, with Al Gore now openly calling for a carbon tax on the energy we use.

Following the end of the Sun's most active period in over 11,000 years, the last 10 years have displayed a clear cooling trend as temperatures post-1998 leveled out and are now plummeting.

But such figures won't deter the agenda of control freaks like Al Gore, who last night publicly called for a carbon tax to be imposed on the use of fossil fuels at a time when even middle class families are struggling to pay the bills as a result of a crippled economy, soaring oil prices and inflation.

Ofcom says The Great Global Warming Swindle, broadcast last March, was in breach of a number of rules in the broadcasting code

Bureaucrats at the American Physical Society (APS) have issued a curious warning to their members about an article in one of their own publications. Don't read this, they say - we don't agree with it. But what is it about the piece that is so terrible, that like Medusa, it could make men go blind?
It's an article that examines the calculation central to climate models. As the editor of the APS's newsletter American Physics Jeffrey Marque explains, the global warming debate must be re-opened.

"There is a considerable presence within the scientific community of people who do not agree with the IPCC conclusion that anthropogenic CO2 emissions are very probably likely to be primarily responsible for the global warming that has occurred since the Industrial Revolution. Since the correctness or fallacy of that conclusion has immense implications for public policy and for the future of the biosphere, we thought it appropriate to present a debate within the pages of P&S concerning that conclusion,".

Al Gore hopes to put global warming back at the top of Washington’s agenda Thursday, but some Democrats in Congress are questioning his timing when they are getting pummeled by Republicans over record gas prices.

Gore hopes to deliver a major speech on the environment at Constitution Hall in Washington that will “press the reset button on how people are looking at the energy crisis and the climate crisis,” said Brian Hardwick, spokesman for Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection.

The former vice president-turned-elder statesman has achieved rock-star status within his party, not to mention a Nobel Prize, for his environmental activism. But Democrats’ political troubles over the issue of gas prices and domestic drilling prompt some lawmakers to wonder about Gore’s timing.

Former Vice President Al Gore gave a speech in Washington laying out his new approach to the entwined challenges of limiting risks from global warming and instability from rising energy prices and declining supplies of fossil fuels. He calls for the United States to produce all electricity from “carbon-free sources” by 2018. This represents quite a shift from his tight focus on the “climate crisis” as the great challenge of our time. The prepared text is below. Some Democrats in Congress weren’t thrilled with the timing, according to TheHill.com, given the focus now on pain at the pump.

In a Times article on the speech by John Broder, Mr. Gore implied that his timetable and targets for de-carbonizing the country’s electricity sources were intentionally super-sized: “I see my role as enlarging the political space in which Senator Obama or Senator McCain can confront this issue as president next year,” Mr. Gore said.

Can A Cow Farting In North Dakota Give a Guy In Alalbama a Kidney Stone? Two New Global Warming Studies came out recently that say just that, and no this is not an Onion article.

CarFartEffect.jpg

A new study was released yesterday that says Global Warming will cause a 30 percent increase in kidney stones. And in a related study Cow Farts are causing global warming, so put 2 and 2 together and you have a new kind of Butterfly effect.

If you think about it, a Cow farting is way more impactful than a butterfly flapping it's wings. So from now on I am coining the phrase "Cow Fart Effect". Hopefully you will too.

Here is the original Butterfly Efect according to Wikipedia:

Let's Get This Party Started

Washington (PTI): US President George W Bush has lifted an executive ban on offshore drilling in the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) and criticised the Congressional Democrats for not following any of his proposals in this regard.

Bush criticised the Congress for failing to lift its own ban on offshore drilling and said that time has come now to come to terms with rising prices of oil at the pumps and homes.

"For years, my administration has been calling on Congress to expand domestic oil production. Unfortunately, Democrats on Capitol Hill have rejected virtually every proposal. And now Americans are paying at the pump," Bush said.

"One of the most important steps we can take to expand American oil production is to increase access to offshore exploration on the Outer Continental Shelf, or what's called the OCS. But Congress has restricted access to keep parts of the OCS since the early 1980s," the President said.

Scientists are examining cow farts and burps in a novel bid to combat global warming.

cowfartmd8.jpg

Experts said the slow digestive system of cows makes them a key producer of methane, a potent greenhouse gas that gets far less public attention than carbon dioxide.

In a bid to understand the impact of the wind produced by cows on global warming, scientists collected gas from their stomachs in plastic tanks attached to their backs.

The Argentine researchers discovered methane from cows accounts for more than 30 per cent of the country's total greenhouse emissions.

Are you tired of all the Carbon Offset Programs?

Just when you thought things were getting pretty nice around here in Minnesota, we went right back into the deep freeze last winter, thanks to all those blasted carbon offset companies.

Well Now you can do something about it!
Join our Minnesotans For Global Warming "Carbon Debit Progam" and you can help offset the offsets.

DebitCard.jpg

How Does Our Carbon Debit Program Work?
For every dollar donated to this program we pledge to drive one mile in a giant SUV.
(It was going to be 10 miles but with the price of gas and all)

Yes, it is that simple. There are lots of nuts and bolts in the background that you don't need to know about, but that is why we started our "Carbon Debit Program" - to make it simple and affordable for individuals and organizations to have an impact on climate change now. As in soon. Today. So our children have a greener and warmer Minnesota to live in. (You get the idea...)

What do you get when you join?
You get this really cool card and the inner glow knowing that your doing something good for Minnesota. (and maybe a bumper sticker and T-Shirt, depending on how much you want to save the planet.)

India Vows Not To Reduce Emissions

The Washington Post reported on July 9 that India was “balking” at the U.S approach to addressing CO2 emissions. India joined four other nations to call for “much steeper reductions” for developed nations.

Fact:
India issued its National Action Plan on Climate Change in June 2008 disputing man-made global warming fears and declared the country of one billion people had no intention of stopping its energy growth or cutting back its CO2 emissions.

It seems like lately every movie coming out of Hollywood these days is about how bad mankind is for the planet. Even Pixar is getting in the act with "Wall-E" which is suppoded to be a kid's movie. I'm glad I grew up during the politically incorrect 60s, with the likes of Roy Rogers and John Wayne. Back then the message was "good verses evil" now its "we are evil just because we exist".

Monday on MPR they were interviewing Werner Herzog about his movie "Encounters At the End of the World" and he said:

"Many of the scientists there maintain that our presence, the human presence on this planet, doesn't seem to be sustainable."

He pauses and then says, "But it doesn't make me nervous either."

When asked why not, Herzog said he doesn't think the dinosaurs were nervous that the time of the dinosaurs was over either.

Then they went to a commercial on how you can reduce your Carbon Footprint and I had to turn it off.

Joseph Farah, WorldNetDaily

It seems clear that the world's political and cultural and financial elite are determined to do whatever is necessary in their minds to lower the temperature of the planet.

When you cut through all the climate-change hysteria, that's what is being proposed.

Taxes will be raised, carbon-dioxide production will be punished, income will be redistributed, people will be told what they can do with their lives and what they cannot do, live-saving and life-enhancing development will be curtailed. And all of this coercion will be directed by those who know best – a global elite who collectively know less about science than the average American high school student in the 1950s.

By Kristen Byrnes Science Foundation Volunteer, John Simmons

Everyone has heard the term, “creating something from thin air.” Now there is a new term, “creating climate data from junk.”

Last summer, volunteers from the Kristen Byrnes Science Foundation completed surveys of the United States Historic Climate Network (USHCN) temperature stations in Maine that are used to measure Global Warming.

Maine.jpg
Map of Maine with temperature stations by name and NCDC ID #

The results of the station surveys were astonishing and reinforced results from the rest of the country; there is a huge quality problem with data used to support the current global warming theory. Over 50% of the 1221 USHCN stations have been surveyed, and 89% of those are improperly located. Additionally, a statistical analysis of the remaining stations shows them to be warmer, so the worst are yet to be surveyed.
