From wildfires in California to bridges collapsing in Minnesota, Global Warming is blamed to cover up incompetence.
If you need something to blame to cover up your own incompetence, just blame Global Warming. It doesn't matter what the problem is, just blame it on Americans and their @#&$%! SUVs.
Hurricane Katrina didn't really do that much damage, but under built levies which they've known about for years gave way and all heck broke loose. Now you could blame the people in charge of getting them rebuilt or go way back and blame the founders of New Orleans for building a city on the coast below sea level, but NOO!! Global Warming did it.
The I35W bridge that collapsed in Minneapolis has needed to be rebuilt for years and MNDOT knew about it. You could blame bureaucratic negligence and incompetence, but NOO!! It was in the 90's for a week before it collapsed so lets blame it on that. Who cares that its August in Minnesota where a week of 90's is not that unusual in fact in the past we have had streaks in the 100's! Just say Global Warming did it and all will be forgiven.
Now California is burning up and it is very sad, but it burns pretty much every year. But this year it is particularly bad. You could blame it on poor forest management, where underbrush is allowed to grow rampant and people can't cut down a tree without a permit. Of course logging hasn't been allowed since the 60's when the "Greeny Weenies" took over. One could say 40 years of tree hugging came back to bite us. But NOOOOOO!!!! Global Warming Did It!!
Did you know that if loggers were allowed to properly manage the forests in Southern California it would produce less Greenhouse gasses? When a tree is taken for lumber it is turned into 2 x 4s for building houses or furniture or Shingles or whatever, and all the nasty CO2 is kept in check and not released into the atmosphere. If that tree were allowed to just stay in the woods it would eventually die and decompse and than release all of its CO2 over time or burn in a fire and release it in a great burst.
So if your against Global Warming you should be for logging.
